at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center, against the background of the symbol of perpetual motion - a spinning wheel, turning into the structure of annual rings on the cuts of a tree - a stylized image of silhouettes of larks and elements of Belarusian folk ornament; below - the year of minting (on the silver - the alloy test); around the circle of the inscription: at the top - the REPUBLIC OF BELARUS, at the bottom the denomination - 20 RUBLES (on silver) and 1 RUBEL (on copper-nickel).
Reverse
in the center - a stylized image of a lark with outstretched wings, the plumage of which resembles the pattern of furrows in a plowed field. The image of the lark is marked with the sign of a rhombus and an oblique cross, which reflects its symbolic connection with the earth and the divine principle, a silhouette of a sower is depicted under the lark; at the bottom right, in a circle, the inscription: LEGEND OF THE GREAT ZHAVARANKA.
